As altitude increases, the landscape opens into dramatic alpine scenery with stunning views of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, and surrounding peaks.

Langtang Valley Trek Route
The Langtang Valley Trek begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the gateway to the Langtang region. From here, the trail follows the Langtang River through dense forests, charming Tamang villages, and gradually rising alpine landscapes. Trekkers pass through Lama Hotel and Langtang Village before reaching Kyanjin Gompa, the spiritual and cultural heart of the valley. The route continues with optional hikes to Kyanjin Ri for panoramic Himalayan views before retracing the same path back to Syabrubesi and returning to Kathmandu.

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, meet your trekking team, and transfer to the hotel. Rest after your journey and attend a short briefing about the trek plan, safety, and preparations. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Explore key UNESCO heritage sites including Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath. Complete final preparations, gear check, and permit arrangements for the trek. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Start a scenic drive through winding hills, rivers, and terraced landscapes with views of Ganesh Himal. Reach Syabrubesi, the starting point of the trek. Overnight in a teahouse.
Begin trekking along the Langtang River through dense bamboo, oak, and rhododendron forests. The trail gradually ascends with chances to spot wildlife. Arrive at Lama Hotel for overnight stay.
Continue uphill through Ghodatabela and open alpine landscapes. Enjoy panoramic mountain views before reaching the traditional Tamang settlement of Langtang Village. Overnight stay.
A shorter trek day for acclimatization. Walk through yak pastures, mani walls, and glacier scenery to reach Kyanjin Gompa. Visit the monastery and local cheese factory. Overnight stay.
Hike to Kyanjin Ri or Tserko Ri for breathtaking views of Langtang Lirung, Yala Peak, and surrounding glaciers. Return to Kyanjin Gompa for rest and exploration. Overnight stay.
Descend through the same scenic route, passing forests and rivers. Enjoy a different perspective of the landscape while returning to Lama Hotel. Overnight stay.
Continue descending through forest trails back to Syabrubesi. Relax and celebrate the completion of the trekking section. Overnight stay.
Scenic drive back to Kathmandu. Free time for shopping or relaxation in Thamel. Overnight stay in hotel.
